UTILITY OF GOD

Acts 9:32-42

Utility- useful, especially through being able to perform several functions., functional rather than attractive.

Acts 9:34 says: 34 And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately.

Miracles still happens up until now. As we all know that our Lord Jesus Christ heals, He is also using people to render such healing or to be alive once more. To be used by God in this ministry we should bear in mind the following:

1. Desire – Acts 9:32 – your will to be useful should prevail and you have to go on outreach. Philemon 14 But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.

2. Act at once –Acts 9:39 – no dilly dally, but respond with enthusiasm. Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

3. Pray fervently –Acts 9:40 – your faith will work with your prayer that will produce good result. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

4. Jesus the Christ heals – Acts 9:41 – the impossible thing that cannot be done by man, Jesus will do it. Jeremiah 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

If we are willing and able, God will use us mightily and effectively.
