RECEIVE ONE ANOTHER
By Oliver Castro Mutuc
Romans 15:7 says: Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
God has commanded us to love one another. He likewise expects us to unite with each other. And receiving each other involves the following:
1. Share with the weak – Romans 15:1 – think of their welfare and not only to please ourselves. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
2. Help others for their edification – Romans 15:2-3 – just as what our Lord Christ has done for us. Philippians 2:4-5 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.
3. Be like-minded with each other – Romans 15:5-6 – to be with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
With one faith, one heart and one spirit we can be strong just like a rope with three strands.
I was called to belong with one another and I will always be a part of it.
