FOLLOWING GODLY INSTRUCTIONS
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Proverbs 23:12 says: Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.
Every instruction coming from the Lord is important it is beneficial to all of us. When God commands we must obey at once with faith and love.
1. Speak with caution and discernment – Proverbs 23:9 – always stoop to the level of understanding of your audience. Matthew 7:6 Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
2. Do not take advantage of the weakness of a person – Proverbs 23:10 avoid bullying under-privileged people. Zechariah 7:10 do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.
3. Apply your ears to words of knowledge – Proverbs 23:12 – pay much attention to Godly commands. Proverbs 5:1-2 My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding, that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge.
If we allow ourselves to heed every call of God, we will be victorious.
I am a child of God and always ready to follow every instruction.
