  By Rev, Oliver Castor Mutuc 1 Peter 2:1-10 THE LIVING STONES 1 Peter 2: 5 says: you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. As we crave for the word of God, we have known that the Lord is gracious that is why we are aiming to be like Him. We are now considered as living stones and will have the following: 1. We are being built up to be a holy priesthood – 1 Peter 2:5 – so that we can offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:20-22 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. 2.
