THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS

Luke 23:32-46


Luke 23:38 says: And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. As they mocked Him they placed this words on top of His cross. But He is not only King of the Jews but King of all kings. And He expressed powerful statements such as these:

1. Statement of Love –Luke 23:34 - “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” He knows that we will all perish if suck sacrifice will not take place. Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

2. Statement of Faith – Luke 23:42-43 - “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” His faith has saved him and the assurance was stated by his Savior. Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’

3. Statement of Obedience – Luke 23:46 - “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” As an obedient Son, He knows that He fulfilled all the things commanded by the Father. 1 Peter 2:23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

Amazing love how can it be, that our King will die for us.
I am loved by the King and my heart will praise Him forever.
