UNDERCOVER

Numbers 9:15-23


Numbers 9:15 says: Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire.

We are all covered by the protection of God if we allow Him to do so. The cloud represents the manifestation of God’s presence in our lives:

1. His presence produces our way – Numbers 9:17a – whatever we do if we do it for the glory of God we will succeed. Exodus 13:21 The Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.

2. His presence promotes rest – Numbers 9:18-19 – God’s comfort is always at hand wherever we obey His commands. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

3. His presence provides protection – Numbers 9:20-21 – whenever His commands is being obeyed from day to day, the mantle of protection prevails. Psalm 91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

We will enjoy God’s covering upon us if we submit to Him and learn from Him.
I am a son of God and I will always seek His presence to be undercover.
