DO YOU NOT FEAR ME?

Jeremiah 5:18-23

Jeremiah 5:22a says: Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it?

Our God is an all-powerful God, and yet seems we have no fear of Him the way we continuously committing sins. Here are the sins that makes God angry:

1. Worshipping idols – Jeremiah 5:19 – we have forsaken and turn ourselves to foreign gods. We have to worship God alone and no one else. Isaiah 45:20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save.

2. Being foolish – Jeremiah 5:21 - without understanding, who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not. Isaiah 44:18 They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

3. Rebellious heart – Jeremiah 5:23 – defiant, always revolting and departing to our God. Jeremiah 6:28 They are all stubbornly rebellious, going about with slanders; they are bronze and iron; all of them act corruptly.

If we avoid to be like these, then God will not make a complete end of us.

My fear of God will always prevail in every thought, word and action I will make.
