GOOD NEWS MAKES THE BONES HEALTHY

Proverbs 15:30-33


Proverbs 15:30 says: The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report (news) makes the bones healthy.

Faith comes from hearing the word of God. And likewise, a good listener receives blessings as follows:

1. Abides among the wise –Proverbs 15:31 – when we heed corrections we will be rubbing elbows with learned people. Proverbs 19:20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.

2. Gets understanding – Proverbs 15:32 – we will learn our lessons but when we disregard discipline we despise ourselves. Proverbs 9:8-9 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

3. Receives instruction of wisdom – Proverbs 15:33 – as the fear of the Lord is wisdom and honor already. Job 28:28 And he said to man, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.

To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.
As I heed the word I must apply it in my life.
