THE LOVINGKINDNESS OF GOD

Image
By Rev, Oliver Castro Mutuc Psalm 51:1-7 Psalm 51:1 says: Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Our God is a God of understanding, mercy and grace. His love knows no boundaries. When we commit sin, we should do the following: 1. Desire for cleansing of the heart – Psalm 51:2 – ask God to thoroughly cleanse you from your iniquities. Jeremiah 33:8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me. 2. Acknowledge your transgressions against God – Psalm 51:3-4 – in all humility, repent all sins you have committed. Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. 3. Expect forgiveness upon doing so – Psalm 51:7 –

THE LORD REPAYS

by Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Ruth 2:1-12 Ruth 2:12 says: May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” We were created to do good things as stated in Ephesians 2:10. And upon doing so, God will reward us: 1. Reward of Provision – Ruth 2:7 – God will supply your needs from day to day. Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. 2. Reward of Favors – Ruth 2:8 – God always finds ways to make life easier for you. Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 3. Reward of Protection – Ruth 2:9 – nobody will lay a hand on you as God watches you. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against

By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Luke 24:28-35 Luke 24:29 says: But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Feeling the presence of the Lord is the most important thing that would happen to us every day. 1. Invite His presence – Luke 24:29 – as we invite Him our heart should always be ready so that He can move freely. See His presence – Luke 24:31 – God will allow you to see manifestations of His presence. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 3. Feel His presence –Luke 24:32 – God will let feel His presence whenever you call Him with a prepared heart. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together i

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Romans 13:8-14 Romans 13:8 says: Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. All the commandments of God pertaining to people summed up into “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” And this is being done through the following: 1. Do not harm people – Romans 13:10 – as you love people you will not say, think or do something that will offend them. Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. 2. Cast off the works of darkness – Romans 13:12-13 – by putting on the armor of light and walk properly, as in the day. Ephesians 5:11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 3. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ – Romans 13:14 – as the full armor of God to make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Exodus 23:22 But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. 3. Those who war against us shall be as nothing –   Isaiah 41:12 – they will be considered as a non-existent thing. Psalm 81:14 I would quickly subdue their enemies and turn My h

OUR REASONABLE SERVICE

Image
by Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Romans 12:1-8 Romans 12:1 says: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. In some version it is called true and proper worship. It is being done by offering ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. It is being done in these manners: 1. Do not be conformed to this world – Romans 12:2 – instead we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. 2. Think soberly –Romans 12:3 – and not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. 1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 3. Use the gifts entrusted to us for God’s glory – Romans 12:6-8 - accord

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3. To be strengthened with all might – Colossians 1:11 - according to His glorious power. Ephesians 3

GOOD NEWS MAKES THE BONES HEALTHY

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Proverbs 15:30-33 Proverbs 15:30 says: The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report (news) makes the bones healthy. Faith comes from hearing the word of God. And likewise, a good listener receives blessings as follows: 1. Abides among the wise –Proverbs 15:31 – when we heed corrections we will be rubbing elbows with learned people. Proverbs 19:20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. 2. Gets understanding – Proverbs 15:32 – we will learn our lessons but when we disregard discipline we despise ourselves. Proverbs 9:8-9 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. 3. Receives instruction of wisdom – Proverbs 15:33 – as the fear of the Lord is wisdom and honor already. Job 28:28 And he said to man, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisd

ANGER MANAGEMENT

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Jonah 4:1-11 Jonah 4:1 says: But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. Anger means a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. If we are angry there are lot of things that will happen that is against our favor. And these are as follows: 1. Anger can kill you – Jonah 4:3 – it will lead you to quitting or be in danger. Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 2. Anger will lead to a wrong frame of mind – Jonah 4:4 – it will make you illogical and give wrong judgment. Proverbs 14:17 A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of wicked intentions is hated. 3. Anger will blind you – Jonah 4:10-11 – it will keep from seeing the good side of every circumstances as your anger prevails in a situation. 2 Timothy 2:

RECEIVE ONE ANOTHER

Image
By Oliver Castro Mutuc Romans 15:1-7 Romans 15:7 says: Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. God has commanded us to love one another. He likewise expects us to unite with each other. And receiving each other involves the following: 1. Share with the weak – Romans 15:1 – think of their welfare and not only to please ourselves. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 2. Help others for their edification – Romans 15:2-3 – just as what our Lord Christ has done for us. Be like-minded with each other – Romans 15:5-6 – to be with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly

UTILITY OF GOD

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Acts 9:32-42 Utility- useful, especially through being able to perform several functions., functional rather than attractive. Acts 9:34 says: 34 And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately. Miracles still happens up until now. As we all know that our Lord Jesus Christ heals, He is also using people to render such healing or to be alive once more. To be used by God in this ministry we should bear in mind the following: 1. Desire – Acts 9:32 – your will to be useful should prevail and you have to go on outreach. Philemon 14 But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary. 2. Act at once –Acts 9:39 – no dilly dally, but respond with enthusiasm. Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are servin

WHY ARE YOU WEEPING?

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Text: John 20:13-16 John 20:13 says: Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” What do you cry unto the Lord? Crying unto the Lord means submission and faith. Our tears are being gathered and saved by God. And they mean a lot in ourselves: 1. Tears for God’s love – John 20:13 – if we love God we pray with intimacy. Luke 6:21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 2. Tears for God’s presence – John 20:14 – we long to see His presence in our life. Psalm 31:22 “In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.” 3. Tears for God’s knowledge – John 20:15 – longing to know God deeply. 1 Samuel 2:3 Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and with Him actions are weighed. If we

MY HOPE IS IN YOU

By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Psalm 39:1-7 Psalm 39:7 says: And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. Waiting upon the Lord is putting our trust in Him. In all our ways we should acknowledge Him and He direct our path. He is our only hope in all aspects: 1. Tongue – Psalm 39:1-2 – to talk about good things and to muzzle our mouth on none sense talks. Proverbs 21:23 Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble. 2. Hear t –Psalm 39:3 – to seek for God’s cleansing and purifying of our hearts. Psalm 24:4-5 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 3. Life –Psalm 39:4-5 – that we will live a life that pleasing to God. John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 4. Feet Psalm 39:6 –

RETURN AND SUBMIT TO GOD

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Genesis 16:7-14 Genesis 16:9 says : The Angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.” There are times when we feel the pain and the difficulties of life. When problems abounds us wherein we are about to succumb or to run away. But God is always there to rescue us. All we have to do is to return and submit to Him and we will reap the following: 1. You will prosper – Genesis 16:10 – you will reap exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude. Deuteronomy 30:9 The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the [a]fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers. 2. You will bear fruit – Genesis 16:11 – your labors will produce results. Genesis 17:20 As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and mult

CIRCUMCISED IN HEART

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc  Jeremiah 9:23-26 Jeremiah 9:25 says: Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised. Spiritual circumcision involves a change of the heart. That is why a true circumcised in heart possess the following: 1. No longer proud – Jeremiah 9:23 – in all humility he glorifies God on whatever he do. Luke 14:11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. 2. Understands and know the Lord – Jeremiah 9:24 – God is delighted when we know that He is exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. Galatians 6:14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 3. No more pretentions –Jeremiah 9:25-26 – he already possess and practices the qualities of a good soldier of God. Romans 2:25-26 For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the l

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Psalm 119:9-16, 97-105 Psalm 119:9 says: How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With our whole heart, we must meditate, contemplate and delight in the words of God and we will reap the following: 1. It makes us wiser than our enemies – Psalm 119:98-100 – it gives us deeper understanding on the will of God in our lives. Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 2. It restrained our feet from every evil way - Psalm 119:101 – that we might not sin against God. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life. By taking heed according to God’s word, we will never go astray and will always be blessed. God’s word are my bread and butter so I a

CHILDREN OF GOD

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc 1 John 2:29-3:3 I John 3:2 says: Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Being a child of God , we should always be Christ-like. And being Christ-like we should possess the following: 1. Righteousness – I John 2:29 – as our Lord Jesus Christ is righteous, we must be the same. 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 2. Loving – I John 3:1 – the Agape Love has been poured out on our hearts that we should practice every time. 1 John 4:9-10 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 3. Pure – I John 3:3 – our God is holy so we must be holy, pu
