Our God is a God of understanding, mercy and grace. His love knows no boundaries. When we commit sin, we should do the following: 1. Desire for cleansing of the heart – Psalm 51:2 – ask God to thoroughly cleanse you from your iniquities. Jeremiah 33:8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me. 2. Acknowledge your transgressions against God – Psalm 51:3-4 – in all humility, repent all sins you have committed. Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. 3. Expect forgiveness upon doing so – Psalm 51:7 –
