THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

Text: John 14:15-26


John 14:17 says: the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

If we obey and love Him with all our heart we will benefit by the works of the Holy Spirit:

1. He helps us in every way –John 14:16 – because He will abide with us forever. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

2. He dwells with us –John 14:17 – He goes and will be with us always. Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

3. He teaches us all things we need to know –John 14:26 – likewise, He will refresh our memories on all the things we have learned from God. 1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

If we love, obey and respect the Holy Spirit, He will all these things to us.
I am spirit-filled as He prepares everything for me and I will stay this way.
