"STARTING A MINISTRY"
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
2 Timothy 4:5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. All of us were called and entrusted with ministry to work on.
God has prepared a process by which we have to observe upon:
1. Pray for God’s leading – Ezra 5:1 – we have to wait on God’s timing to start with. Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
2. Act at once upon getting God’s signal –Ezra 5:2 – be mindful of the time frame and program. James 1:23-25 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
3. Seek God’s guidance as you go – Ezra 5:5 – there are always distraction but rely on God as your shield. Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
With God on our side we will always be a victorious minister.
I rely on God’s word and will always be.
