RETURN TO THE LORD
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Hosea 6:1 says: Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. God is calling us to repent and return to Him before it is too late. Before we receive our punishments, we must heed to the call and the desire of God: (Hosea 6:6)
1. Mercy not sacrifice – the Lord wants love and passion, not superficial service or shallow worship. Matthew 12:7 And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.
2. Knowledge of God more than burnt offerings – the Lord wants a heart that is obedient to His Word not hypocritical manner of worship. Ecclesiastes 5:1 Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.
Upon doing so, He will revive us, raise us up, that we may live in His sight.
I had already returned to the Lord that is why I maintain my love, passion and obedience to His words.
