"GOD’S WISDOM"

 1 Kings 3:16-28



I Kings 3:28 says: When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice. God has given King Solomon the blessing of wisdom that no one ever had. And this wisdom has earned the people’s respect on him.

1. Wisdom promotes love –I Kings 3:26 – the real mother sacrificed the possession to save the baby’s life. Psalm 107:43 Let the one who is wise heed these things and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.

2. Wisdom promotes life – I Kings 3:27 – by the king’s discernment the baby was spared from death. Ecclesiastes 7:12 For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

3. Wisdom promotes light – I Kings 3:28 – by his wisdom the people were enlightened and the king is worthy of respect. Ecclesiastes 2:13 I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
I have learned to rely on God’s wisdom than mine and I will continually doing it all my life.
