" THE BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE"

Text:  Genesis 12:1-3


Genesis 12:1 says: The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

The calling of Abram need his positive response and the corresponding rewards is to be realized. Like in our situation, God called us to heed and obey and the rest is the Lord’s:

1. I will make you into a great nation – God will help us to multiply and enlarge our territory. Genesis 35:11 And God said to him, “I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.

2. I will bless you – in all aspects; spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Genesis 24:35 The Lord has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, camels and donkeys.

3. I will make your name great – God will take of your good testimony. 2 Samuel 7:9 And I have been with you wherever you went and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make for you a great name, like the name of the great ones of the earth.

4. You will be a blessing – other people will likewise benefit from your blessings. Genesis 26:4 I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.

God will bless those who blesses us and curse to those who curses us.
I will make it a point to always obey God’s will in my life.
