"CARRY EACH OTHER’S BURDEN"
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Galatians 6:1-10
Galatians 6:2 says: Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
As brothers in Christ we are expected to love one another as God loves us. And we should do the following:
1. Avoid comparing yourself to others – Galatians 6:3-5 – pride prevails when you start comparing. 2 Corinthians 10:12 Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.
2. Share to others the blessings coming from the Lord - Galatians 6: 5-8 – sow to please the Spirit, blessing will follow. Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
3. Learn the art of doing good to others – Galatians 6:9-10 – we will reap the harvest upon doing so. Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Loving other people was initiated God for us to follow.
I should refrain from doing self-vested interest but instead be self-less at all times.
