ROCK AND ROCKY
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Matthew 7:24-27
The strength and weakness of everything depends on its foundation. Obedience is likened to foundation when it comes to the treatment to the words of God. These are the two foundations:
1. Rock – Matthew 7:24-25 – all the words of God are bound to be obeyed upon. Their intentions are directly focused on us that is why following them is very essential for us to be strengthened whatever problem may arise. Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
2. Rocky – Matthew 7:26-27 – disobedience is likened to destruction. Whenever we disobey the words of God we will be founded on a rocky situation or shifting sands that will lead to failures. 1 Peter 2:8 and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. “They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
To obey or to disobey. This will be the deciding factor if we will win or lose.
I am founded on the rock that is why God leads me to victory.
