THE WONDROUS WORKS OF GOD

Job 37:14-24


Job 37:14 says: Listen to this, O Job; Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Our God is excellent in power, in judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress. That is why nothing is impossible to Him.

1. He control the heavenly bodies – Job 37:15-16 - He is perfect in knowledge and everything fall into proper places. Proverbs 3:19-20 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens; by his knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down the dew.

2. He quiets the earth by the wind – Job 37:17-18 – He spread out the skies, strong as a cast metal mirror. Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself.

3. With God is awesome majesty – Job 37:21-22 - And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. Hebrews 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Therefore men fear Him; He shows no partiality to any who are wise of heart.

On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
