OUR GOD SHALL CUT THEM OFF

Psalm 94:2, 16-23


Psalm 94:23 says: He has brought on them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; The Lord our God shall cut them off.

Whenever we are weary, whenever we are being attacked, we have a great God that is always ready to help us up.

1. His Mercy will hold us up – Psalm 94:18 – if we stumble and cannot rise up, His helping hand is always available. Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2. His comforts delight our souls – Psalm 94:19 - In the multitude of our anxieties, His care is always at hand. 2 Corinthians 1:4-5 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.

3. He is our defense and refuge – Psalm 94:21-22 – as the enemy gather together against the life of the righteous, our Lord is our strong tower. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

The Lord is our rock and our fortress and our deliverer, our God, our rock, in whom we take refuge, our shield, and the horn of our salvation, our stronghold.
O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you, O God, are my fortress.
