THE EVIDENCE OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:1-6


Hebrews 11:1 says: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is the essence of our relationship to God. We cannot see God but we can always feel Him in many circumstances of our lives. And faith is very evident because of the following:

1. By faith we understand creations – Hebrews 11:3 – everything was created by the word of God. Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.

2. By faith we can offer with excellence without fear – Hebrews 11:4 – upon doing so, we can be made righteous. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

3. By faith we can be protected from harm – Hebrews 11:5 – as God will always take care of us. John 8:51-52 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’

Our God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him because it pleases Him.
I always have a great faith in God because I know that God wants me to have it
