TRUST IN THE LORD
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Psalm 91:2 says: I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. For all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. In this perilous times where everyone keep on sinning, we all need God and trust in the following:
1. I will look to the Lord – I will always look upon the Lord for all His plans for me. Psalm 23:4 Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
2. I will wait for the God of my salvation – as I wait upon the Lord, I will continue serving through the people He has entrusted upon me. Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
3. My God will hear me – for every prayer we utter, God patiently listens and answers. 1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
Our Lord is the best stress reliever and the best solver of all problems.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and will not lean on my own understanding.
