THE LORD IS MY PORTION

Lamentations 3:1-3, 13-24

Lamentations 3:24 says: “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” As we go on sinning, His wrath causes afflictions, darkness, ridicule and bitterness on us. But God with His great love will turn our mourning into dancing:

1. His compassions fail not –Lamentations 3: 22 – because of His mercy we are not consumed. Psalm 86:15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

2. Great is His faithfulness – Lamentations 3:23 – His faithfulness never end and always new. Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

3. The Lord is our only hope – Lamentations 3:24 – so we must pour out our heart before Him. Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

God is good all the time and His love endures forever.
I belong to Him and He belongs to me.
