THE SERVANT OF THE LORD/OUR SAVIOR

Isaiah 42:1-4


Isaiah 42:1 says: “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom my soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

Our Father sent His only begotten Son for our sake. He knows that it will be difficult but He sent Him with love.

1. The Chosen One whom God’s Soul delights – Isaiah 42:2 – He is slow to anger and full of understanding. 1 Peter 2:23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

2. God put His Spirit upon Him – Isaiah 42:4 - He will not fail nor be discouraged. Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

3. He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles – Isaiah 42:3 – He is always fair and just on every move He makes. Isaiah 52:13 Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.

Our Lord and Savior came here to serve and save all of us.
I will always exalt the King with all my heart.
