MY SHEPHERD’S PROVISIONS
By Oliver Castro Mutuc
Psalms 23:1-6
Psalms 23:1 says: The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
Being flocks of God we have all the perks that only Him can provide:
1. He provides serenity – Psalms 23:2 – peace and tranquility can be found on God alone. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
2. He provides rejuvenation – Psalms 23:3 – he guides our paths for restoration and youthfulness. Isaiah 66:14 then you will see this, and your heart will be glad, and your bones will flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants, But He will be indignant toward His enemies.
3. He provides comfort – Psalms 23:4 – with His presence and training it provides courage. Hebrews 12:11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
4. He provides habitat –Psalms 23:5-6 – he gives us the shelter where everything can be found. 1 Timothy 6:8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
With all these provisions, what more can ask for?
I am blessed that He is my shepherd that is why I lack nothing.
