THE GLORY OF LOVE
by: Ptr. Oliver Castro Mutuc
2 Samuel 23:13-17
Verse 16 says: So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord. There is a poem that goes like this. If you work for a man, in heaven’s name work for him. Loyalty prevails when we value the love being extended unto us. Thereby, the glory of love works within us as follows:
1. Love for the leader 2 Samuel 23:15 honoring your leader means honoring God as well. Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2. Love for the Lord 2 Samuel 23:16 all things being acquired out of love should always be dedicated to the Lord. 2 Corinthians 8:7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.
3. Love for the flocks 2 Samuel 23:17 value the people that works for you by recognizing their efforts serving you. Acts 20:28 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.
Valuing every good deeds makes God smiles and glorified.
I am servant and a leader called to love God, my superior and my people.
GOD BLESS US ALL!
