BLAMELESS AND HARMLESS CHILDREN OF GOD

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Philippians 2:12-18 Philippians 2: 15 says: that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. Being the light bearers we must in all circumstances be blameless and harmless. That is why we have to do the following: 1. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling – Philippians 2:12 – by being obedient to God at all times. Hebrews 4:11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. 2. Do all things without complaining and disputing – Philippians 2:14 – serve God and people with passion and love. James 5:9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. 3 . Hold fast the word of life – Philippians 2:16 – so that our labor will not be in vain. Galatians 2:2 I went up because of a revelation and set before th

RENEWED CHRISTIAN

Image
by. Ptr. Oliver Castro Mutuc 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Verse 16 says: Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. When God breathed the breath of life inside us it includes our spirit. And the moment that we were changed by God, we now have the confidence that He continues to build into a better one. 1. Our inward man is renewed day by day Corinthians 4: 16 our physical body will soon perish but our spirit is always fresh. Ephesians 3:16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being. 2. Our light affliction creates far more exceeding glory Corinthians 4: 17 as it will teaches to be stronger and firm in faith. 1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 3. Our foresight is on eternal t

THE GLORY OF LOVE

Image
by: Ptr.  Oliver Castro Mutuc 2 Samuel 23:13-17 Verse 16 says: So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord. There is a poem that goes like this. If you work for a man, in heaven’s name work for him. Loyalty prevails when we value the love being extended unto us. Thereby, the glory of love works within us as follows: 1. Love for the leader 2 Samuel 23:15 honoring your leader means honoring God as well. Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2. Love for the Lord 2 Samuel 23:16 all things being acquired out of love should always be dedicated to the Lord. 2 Corinthians 8:7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this

I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Habakkuk 3:16-19 Habakkuk 3:18 says: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. God is our great provider and He never fails. That is why we have all the reasons in the world to rejoice. 1. He will save us in times of trouble –Habakkuk 3:16 - When he comes up to the people, He will invade them with his troops. Psalm 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. 2. He provides the things we long to be – Habakkuk 3:17 - He supplies all our needs in times of scarcity. Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 3. He will make my feet like deer’s feet – Habakkuk 3:19 - And He will make me walk on my high hills. 2 Samuel 22:34 He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! I am glad that God has saved me and supp

PASSING THE TORCH

by Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Deuteronomy 31:1-8 Deuteronomy 31:2 says: And he said to them: “I am one hundred and twenty years old today. I can no longer go out and come in. Also the Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross over this Jordan.’ There will be a time when your time will up and you need to pass your duties and responsibilities to someone else that deserves your position. And the following words are essential as an encouragement to your successor: 1. The Lord your God Himself crosses over before you – Deuteronomy 31:3 – God will always guide you in every step of the way. Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 2. The Lord will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og – Deuteronomy 31:4 - He will destroy all your worries to make you victorious. Deuteronomy 20:4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to figh

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HE CARES FOR US

By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Genesis 29:31-35 Genesis 29:35 says: And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing. Everything that has breath praise the Lord. With all the blessings that we are receiving from day to day there are lot of reasons to praise the Lord. Here are some: 1. The Lord is looking on our afflictions – Genesis 29:32 – our sad conditions will never go unnoticed by the Lord. Exodus 3:7 Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings. 2. The Lord hears our pleadings – Genesis 29:33 – the Lord is patiently listening to our cries and pleas. Deuteronomy 26:7 Then we cried to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our affliction, our toil, and our oppression. 3. The Lord is attached to us – Genesis 29:34 - whatever we are going th

DEATH CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOR

Image
By Olivevr Castro Mutuc Hebrews 2:9-18 Hebrews 2:9 says: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. We all know that by the blood that caused the death of our Lord Jesus Christ is the only solution for the multitude of sins of mankind. And by His death we received the following: 1. He brought many sons to glory – Hebrews 2:10 – as the author of our salvation made perfect through suffering. Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 2. His destroyed the devil – Hebrews 2:14 – that the devil who had the power of death no longer have a sting. Hosea 13:14 Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from Death? O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your

FOR THE LORD HAS DONE IT

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Isaiah 43:25; 44:21-23 Isaiah 44:23 says: Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob. The Lord has overcome the world so we must rejoice and be glad in it. He has done mighty things for us which includes the following: 1. He blotted out our transgressions – Isaiah 43:25 – and He will not remember them anymore. Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. 2. He will not forget us –Isaiah 43:21 – for He has formed us and we are His slaves. Isaiah 44:1-2 But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen. 3. He has redeemed us –Isaiah 43:22 – though how big sins are, He has cleansed them. Jeremiah 33:8 I will clean

SEEKING AND SAVING THAT WAS LOST

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Luke 19:1-10 Luke 19:10 says: for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Being Christ-like, we must be involved in the Greatest Commission which seeking and saving the lost. 1. Seek God – Luke 19:4 – the soonest possible time desire to let the lost souls to seek God before it’s too late. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 2. Seek Forgiveness – Luke 19:8 – invoke them to repent and ask for forgiveness. James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. 3. Seek Belongingness – Luke 19:9 – invoke to them the importance of having a relation with is the most important thing. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I

God is God of gods and Lord of lords

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc  Deuteronomy 10:12-19 Deuteronomy 10:17 says: For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. And being Him the Lord our God He requires the following: (verse 12) 1. To fear the Lord your God – having a holy fear is an essence of being a Christian. Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever. 2. To walk in all His ways and to love Him – follow and imitate Christ all the time. 1 John 2:6 the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 3. To serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul – serving God the best that we can always. Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Loving God and loving people is what God wants in

INHERITING THE ETERNAL LIFE

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Mark 10:17-31 Mark 10:17 says: Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” Eternal life is the greatest blessing we could ever receive from God. It is our salvation and heaven. After repentance and accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior, we should maintain the following: 1. Obey all His commands – Mark 10:19 – obey totally, partial obedience is disobedience. James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. 2. Take up the cross – Mark 10:21 – by not being selfish on all your material possession but give to the needy. Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 3. Follow Christ – determined and dedicated to offer ourselves to God

YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO EAT

Image
by Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Matthew 14:13-21 Matthew 14:16 says: But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” The great commission is everybody’s business. Nobody is excluded to fulfill it. Feeding and equipping them with His words is our responsibility as followers of Christ. 1. Go out to look for the great multitudes – Matthew 14:14 – there are lots of them just around the corner for us to share the gospel with. Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 2. Bring them at the feet of Jesus – Matthew 14:18 – tell to them the love and goodness of Christ. Matthew 15:30 And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them. 3. Feed them with God’s words – Matthew 14:20 – mentor and disciple them regularly. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these wor

THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc   2 Corinthians 1:3-7 2 Corinthians 1:3 says: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. God understands everything in us. He knows what we are going through in times of happiness and in times of sufferings as He provides the following: 1. Comfort –2 Corinthians 1:4 – in all our tribulations His loving arms are ready to hug us. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. 2. Consolation – 2 Corinthians 1:5 - the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation. Colossians 1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church. 3. Steadfast Hope – 2 Corinthians 1:7 – as we partake the sufferings, we l

CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON

Image
By Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc Romans 8:22-30 Romans 8:29 says: For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Our main goal of being a Christian is to be Christ-like. It is in this process that we become righteous. And this is the process: 1. We groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies – Romans 8:22-25 - For in this hope we were saved. Galatians 4:4-5 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. 2. The Spirit helps us in our weakness – Romans 8:26 – by teaching us how to pray through His wordless groans. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 3. The Spirit intercedes for God’s people

DO YOU LOVE ME?

Image
by Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc John 21:17-25 John 21:17 says: He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. God likewise is asking that question to us. How can we show our love to God? We can show it by heeding to His powerful words: 1. “Feed my sheep” –John 21:17 – we should always be instrumental in sharing the gospel to other people especially the unbelievers. 1 Peter 5:2 shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness. 2. “Follow Me” –John 21:19 – we should always do His will in our lives. Deuteronomy 5:33 You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong
