"STOP PASSING JUDGMENT"
By: Rev. Oliver Castro Mutuc
Text: Romans 14: 1-13
Rom. 14:13 says: Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
God wants us to love our neighbors so that the peace of God will guard our hearts and mind.
1. Accept the one whose faith is weak – Rom. 14:1-3 without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
2. Do not judge hopeless people – Rom. 14: 4-6 each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Romans 2:1 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
3. For none of us lives for ourselves alone - Rom. 14:7-8 whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
Each of us will give an account of ourselves to God, Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another.
I will avoid to be judgmental in any circumstances I will encounter.
